Welcome to Kyllini visitor guide
.
Kyllini is situated on the westernmost cap of Peloponnese, at a distance of only 40 minutes from Ancient Olympia. During your stay in Kyllini you will have the opportunity to visit one of the most well preserved castles of Greece, the Chlemoutsi castle.
In geographical terms, the word “Kyllini” defines the wider area and includes the municipal districts Kyllini, Kastro, Neochori, Kato Panagia and the regions Loutra Kyllini (Thermal Baths), Fournia, Analipsi, Kalamias, Chryssi Akti (Golden Beach), Petrelea.
The double name of the Municipality “Kastro Kyllini” comes from the municipal district Kyllini (the harbour) and the municipal district Kastro. For the resident population of the region, the word Kyllini defines the harbour.
The natural richness of the area, the endless sandy beaches and the sea with its deep blue waters combine optimally with the historical elements of the region, thus making Kyllini one of the most popular destinations in Greece for over 40 years.
